Member-only story
What I shouldn’t tell you in a whisper or a yell
are all the things that make you better-off without a tail.
I shouldn’t tell you that you’re beautiful,
that you’re voice sounds like a tune.
I really shouldn’t let you know
your face lights up in June.
I never meant to give in and let it be known that you,
are the center of my world
and no one else would do.
I really shouldn’t tell you that you’re the best there is.
I really shouldn’t convince you that there’s not a better friend.
I really shouldn’t rub you right, too much, or just enough.
I spoil you a little more with every single blush.
I really shouldn’t let you know how much I really owe you.
I really shouldn’t give a hint that I deeply know you.
I really shouldn’t say you’re perfect, shouldn’t throw a bone,
cuz if tell you, you may think, you’re better off alone.
